Youth for Peace – Batloun Multiplier Event (Lebanon)

On 11 October 2025, YDO brought together young people, parents, local leaders, and volunteers at Batloun Club for a warm and inspiring Multiplier Event that celebrated the Youth for Peace journey in Lebanon. The atmosphere felt close, lively, and full of pride as the participants shared the work they created throughout the project.

A Celebration of Youth Work and Real Impact

The event opened with a clear presentation of the project’s results, followed by the launch of the Peace Education Manual, also known as the Dossier, and the set of practical tools developed during the project. Many teachers, youth workers, and parents showed real interest because the resources offer practical support for their daily work with young people.

The screening of the Youth for Peace video competition winners brought a creative touch to the event. Each video highlighted the way young people understand peace, dialogue, and solidarity in their own lives. The room responded with smiles, applause, and thoughtful conversations that continued long after the videos ended.

Interactive Sessions Led by YDO Volunteers

YDO volunteers and social workers prepared hands on sessions where participants could try out the tools introduced during the project. These activities transformed the event into an active learning moment that felt dynamic and engaging. Young participants especially enjoyed exploring methods that made peace education feel practical and meaningful.

Who Joined the Event?

The gathering brought together forty one participants, including young people from Batloun Club, volunteers and youth workers from YDO, parents who wanted to follow their children’s progress, members of the Batloun Club management team, and local stakeholders such as Mr Marwan Kais who supported the outreach and invitations. Most of the participants were between eighteen and thirty years old, though the younger group under eighteen added a fresh and lively energy to the room.

Feedback from Participants

The closing ceremony carried a mix of emotion and encouragement. Participants praised the creativity behind the video contest, the clarity and structure of the Peace Education Manual, and the usefulness of the project’s tools for their clubs, schools, and youth groups. Many expressed a strong wish to continue developing what they learned and to integrate the tools into future community programmes. The event strengthened a shared sense of responsibility toward peacebuilding in the region.

Throughout the event, the Erasmus Plus Programme remained visible in every part of the communication. The logo appeared on banners, presentations, and printed materials. Organizers highlighted the programme during their speeches and celebrated its role in empowering young people and supporting cooperation across borders
