FINAL EVALUATION MEETING – YOUTH FOR PEACE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA

The Final Evaluation Meeting of the Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea project took place on 27 October 2025 in Rabat, Morocco, bringing together all partner organisations for one last in-person coordination before the official closing of the project. The meeting, hosted by Med Forum Morocco, marked the conclusion of nearly two years of joint efforts under the Erasmus+ framework, aimed at strengthening youth cooperation and peace education across the Mediterranean region.

Held one day before the Final Conference, this meeting gathered representatives from all partner organisations: AIIJ and FORO para la Paz en el Mediterráneo (Spain), CESIE (Italy), IMF (France), ASED (Tunisia), HR180 (Jordan), Jovesolides Egypt, and YDO (Lebanon). The session opened with a welcoming note from Med Forum Morocco, who highlighted Morocco’s central role as host and leader of the project’s Work Package 4 – Impact and Dissemination.

The partners reviewed all deliverables and indicators from the project’s start in December 2023 to its end in November 2025. Each organisation presented its national outcomes:

  • AIIJ shared statistics on the website performance, content publication, and the editing process of the Project Video.
  • Med Forum Morocco showcased dissemination materials, stakeholder mapping tools, and evidence of media coverage.
  • ASED, IMF, and CESIE highlighted their national Multiplier Events, reporting active youth participation and visibility actions.
  • HR180, YDO, and Jovesolides Egypt reflected on their stakeholder engagement and the long-term sustainability of local peace initiatives.

The evaluation confirmed that all deliverables (D4.1–D4.6) had been completed with high quality and strong regional impact.

A collective reflection followed on the Erasmus Youth Quality Standards how inclusiveness, intercultural learning, and impact measurement were applied in each activity. Participants discussed the lessons learned:

  • the importance of consistent communication across partners,
  • the challenges of cross-country visibility actions,
  • and the success of involving local youth councils, NGOs, and educational institutions in peace-oriented dialogues.

In the closing round, partners agreed to continue their collaboration under new Erasmus+ frameworks. They discussed concrete proposals for follow-up projects focusing on digital storytelling, youth resilience, and intercultural mediation.

Med Forum Morocco presented a concept for a possible “Youth for Peace Network”, an online community linking Mediterranean youth organisations and alumni from the project.

The meeting ended with mutual appreciation for the professionalism, trust, and solidarity demonstrated throughout the project. Each partner expressed satisfaction with the results and reaffirmed commitment to future cooperation. The coordinator, AIIJ, congratulated Med Forum Morocco for its strong leadership in dissemination and visibility tasks and thanked all partners for their dedication.
