Youth for Peace – Marseille Multiplier Event
On 16 October 2025, IMFRIS brought the Mediterranean energy to Marseille during a vibrant Multiplier Event held as part of Erasmus Days. The gathering drew youth workers, teachers, researchers, and young leaders who wanted to explore how peace, social justice, and environmental well-being can grow together across our region.
A Space for Ideas and Real Dialogue
The afternoon opened with a warm welcome and a full presentation of the Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea project. The team walked the participants through the work accomplished during the project years, using videos, stories, and the new Manual on Education for Peace and Social Justice in the Mediterranean.
The room stayed lively, with people jumping into discussions, asking sharp questions, and sharing their own experiences from different parts of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

A Powerful Roundtable on Environmental Justice
IMFRIS hosted a roundtable titled “Environmental Justice in the Mediterranean.”
Five speakers shaped the conversation:
- two trainers
- one sociologist
- one environmental researcher
- one activist
They explored how climate challenges, social inequality, and peacebuilding link together. Many participants noted that young people already carry the motivation to address these issues—they simply need the right tools, safe spaces, and platforms for cooperation.
Who Joined the Event?
The event welcomed 72 participants in total. The group included:
- students in social work
- teachers and trainers
- youth workers
- international partners from ERASMUS+ mobility networks
- members of civil society
- incoming Erasmus students
Most participants came from the 18–30 age group, bringing fresh ideas and strong curiosity into the conversation.
What Participants Said
Many participants highlighted how the project touches real needs in the Mediterranean:
- more youth participation
- deeper intercultural dialogue
- better tools for peace education
- stronger links between environment, society, and justice
People appreciated the Manual and the student-produced videos because they can use them directly in their work with young people and local communities. The general feeling pushed for continuing the cooperation beyond the project’s official end, keeping this network alive.
Visibility and Erasmus+ Spirit
IMFRIS gave full visibility to the Erasmus+ Programme throughout the event. All materials posters, invitations, presentations, and social-media content carried the official logo and acknowledged EU support.
The team also shared YxP notebooks and eco-friendly bee-pollination seed sachets, linking the project to sustainability values.
