Youth for Peace Multiplier Event Inspires Future Community Leaders in Spain
On October 9, 2025, the organization Iniciativa Internacional Joven hosted a Multiplier Event at I.E.S. Ben Gabirol in Málaga, Spain, as part of the Erasmus+ Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea project. The session brought together 51 young participants primarily students from Sociocultural Animation and Social Integration courses for an interactive talk on peacebuilding, intercultural dialogue, and international cooperation.
During the event, attendees explored the project’s main objectives: fostering peace and collaboration across Europe, North Africa, and Southeast Asia. A highlight of the session was the presentation of an e‑book created through the project, offering community workers practical tools and methodologies for implementing peace-oriented initiatives in their professional lives.
Participants expressed strong interest in the project’s international dimension and praised the Erasmus+ Programme for opening pathways to education, inclusion, and cultural understanding. Many noted that the e‑book served as a motivating and valuable resource for their future careers. The non-formal education approaches and real-world examples of intercultural cooperation resonated deeply, inspiring several students to pursue international volunteering and mobility opportunities.
Throughout the event, the Erasmus+ Programme received significant visibility through presentations, printed materials, and slides highlighting its essential role in promoting learning and cooperation across borders.
The Youth for Peace multiplier event successfully demonstrated how young people can act as catalysts for community change and intercultural understandingreinforcing the project’s message that peace begins with collaboration and shared learning.
