Behind the Scenes: Preparing the Final Conference in Rabat
The city of Rabat is buzzing with energy as the Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea (YxP) project prepares to host its long-awaited Final Conference on 28 October 2025 at the Palais des Congrès. After two years of collaboration, creativity, and friendship across eight countries, the project’s journey is about to reach its grand celebration and Morocco is ready.
At the headquarters of the Mediterranean Forum for Social Development , the Moroccan coordination team is fully engaged in the final preparations. Banners, printed materials, and conference kits are being carefully arranged, while volunteers rehearse, test equipment, and review every detail to ensure a seamless event experience.
The Rabat conference will bring together representatives from Spain, Tunisia, Italy, France, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt, along with over 40 Moroccan youth participants and several institutional guests. The programme will showcase the project’s main results the Peace Education Manual, the Participatory Video, and the final eBook and documentary all products of two years of joint effort and exchange.
In the days leading up to the conference, international delegations will arrive in Rabat to a warm welcome from Med Forum’s volunteers and local youth. The city’s cultural charm from the Kasbah of the Udayas to the Corniche, will provide the perfect setting for moments of learning, connection, and reflection.
As the final touches come together, the sense of pride is palpable. The banners are up, the stage is set, and anticipation fills the air. In just a few days, the Palais des Congrès will open its doors to voices, stories, and ideas that have shaped two years of meaningful Mediterranean cooperation a celebration of youth, inclusion, and peace.
