Youth for Peace: Project Presentation in Egypt

On May 9, 2024, Jovesolides Egypt hosted a meeting in Cairo to introduce the Youth for Peace project. The event brought together young people, university students, and youth workers eager to engage in discussions about peace education and social justice.

The meeting aimed to introduce the goals and opportunities of the initiative, with participants showing great enthusiasm, actively contributing to discussions, and exploring how they could benefit from the project. A total of 13 participants attended, including young people aged 18 to 30, youth workers, trainers, and new volunteers who discovered the event through social media.

Throughout the discussion, participants demonstrated a strong interest in the project’s themes and suggested additional activities to further promote peace education. Some attendees already had experience in video editing and recording, while others were excited to develop new skills. Their motivation was evident through their engagement and the questions they raised, highlighting the relevance of the initiative.

As part of the event, new attendees were introduced to the Erasmus+ programme and the various opportunities it offers for students and young people. The meeting served as an excellent platform to raise awareness of these initiatives and encourage greater involvement in peacebuilding efforts.

The enthusiasm and ideas shared during the meeting will help shape upcoming activities within the Youth for Peace project. The event successfully motivated young individuals to take an active role in peacebuilding and skill development. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to participate in future events.
